To achieve maximum adhesive strength between the tip and the shaft, it is always a good idea to prepare the shaft by cleaning the inside of the shaft of debris and roughening the inside surface so that the adhesive can adhere better.
Easton offers a set of pipe cleaners in different sizes that can be used from the thinnest (X-10) to the largest (D27) shaft diameter. The set comes complete with extensions and a handle for optimal use.
