The story of T.R.U. Ball Releases began with the formation of S&S Machine, Inc. on December 16, 1985 by master machinist Greg Summers. The company grew strong based on its reputation for quality and dependability in the machining of parts for the nuclear, pharmaceutical, robotics, and defense industries. Building on decades of personal experience, Greg and his staff engineered the first parts for an archery manufacturing company that opened for business on January 28, 1995. The first designs (many of which are still being used today) used a steel ball bearing to activate the caliper jaws of a release aid (trigger) and a ball/socket connection to the bow string that is similar to a human shoulder joint, leading many to call the new products, “T.R.U. Ball Releases.”
The T.R.U. Ball Archery brand has grown since 1995 to become quite possibly the largest release aid manufacturer in the world. All metal parts are CNC machined from the finest aircraft aluminum and stainless steel by 90+ employees in a factory located in the heart of the United States. The company’s goal is to build a strong reputation for the highest standards of quality and the latest breakthroughs in technology and their motto is, “Leading Technology, Proven Results.” T.R.U. Professional shooters in the United States have used T.R.U. Ball Releases more than any other brand of release aid to win more ASA, IBO, and NFAA national tournaments over the past decade.
